The Francis Crick Institute

I helped launch the institute’s biennial science magazine, The Crick, providing consultancy and editorial support, as well as writing a feature on genetic variants for Issue 1, and on stem-cell based embryo models for Issue 2. I also ran a science-writing workshop for members of their communications department.

Cancer Research UK

I’ve written regular features CRUK’s Cancer News website, including its ‘For Researchers’ section. I also ran a science-writing workshop for their in-house digital content team.

Common Sense Oncology

I worked with CSO’s senior leadership team to develop and refine a communications strategy to help them deliver their 5 year Strategic Plan, including objectives, target audiences, and corporate narrative and messaging framework.

LifeArc

I provided copywriting support to help draft LifeArc’s influential Taskforce report, ‘Accelerating R&D for rare disease in the UK‘, working with teams across the organisation and externally.

GOSH Charity

GOSH Charity’s research funding team asked me for strategic advice on how to work with multiple internal and external stakeholders to boost their science communication activity.

UK Biobank

I copyedited the organisation’s 2024/25 Annual Report and Financial Statements.
